Haridwar ki peethi waali Kachori dunked in aaloo ki sabzi that is generously spiced with hing (asafoetida), laced with green and tamarind chutneys, sprinkled with crushed fried chillies and garnished with radish. A distinct flavour profile different from any I've had and north India. Definitely yum! Red snapper steamed in ginger soy scallion sauce. #dinner last night was yummy and healthy. Great on a bed of rice vermicelli. #glutenfree #dairyfree Got a recipe from a school friend's mom for her biryani or as she called it, mutton pulao, that I ate over 20 years ago. Finally happy with a biryani that came out of my kitchen. Like my sisters say, the last two were dum phucked! #indian #muslim #delicious #heritage There's nothing quite as gratifying as bread baking
It's a not so cold winter day here in Haridwar. the market is beautiful. Full of atmosphere, life and a beautiful old world charm. Some more of that mutton pulao from yesterday. With the biryani fixation of last week, have had enough mutton to last me a month at least. Except if someone gave me some marrow filled Nalli to suck on. #yummy I've got to stop baking these already. #breadbaking #soft #love Miso soy sea bass. With the beautiful wild garlic that's seasonal, spring onions and plenty of ginger for aroma. Over steamed rice, this will be lunch today.
