I had been cribbing about the sameness of life for a while when Atul and my friend Baljeet plotted a surprise. I had taken Friday off on Atul’s (uncharacteristic) insistence that I needed to accompany him to one of his filmy events and was looking forward to it with a mix of dread and anticipation. After a grueling 2 days of making up for the holiday to come, I came back home and collapsed into bed. Only to jump with the joy at the prospect of getting up at 4 in the morning. No, I hadn’t finally gone of the rocker, I had just got some brilliant news – we were going to Goa. Again. Yippee. Thank You. Atul. Muuah!
The trip was awesome and everything one wants from a quick quick getaway. We got this lovely bullet as soon as we arrived. It often refused to get started. (Lesson reiterated: Beauty comes at a price)
A lot of fun was had. Much riding, food, fun, walking, shopping. Discovered the best BBQ chicken in the world at Lloyds. Sorry, was too busy gorging to take pictures. Have been inspired to try and attain the same magic in my kitchen though.. as much as possible, that is. Will have a post on that coming up sooooon.
We rode up to Morjim because the food at Casalanca was beckoning us.
I know lots of people think it silly but I adore wearing flowers in my hair. Have always avoided artificial ones but this once I gave in and got a flowery hairclip. Atul thinks it plasticy but I love it!
Ate some more
Watched a rainy football match in Candolim
Had no option. Ate yet more. The monster in my mouth forced me.
Got an exciting but fake tattoo at Brittos.
And because we weren’t eating enough, ate yet more. Crabs in Butter Garlic – Crabs love butter and garlic I tell you..
Drove around some more. Read some nonsense. (All you hoity people, stop judging me NOW)
Drank some beer. Made merry.
Even the flight back was beautiful! Am I a lucky girl or what!!
